The effect of different number of screws on the product
The number of screws in the extruder unit determines the number of layers in the formed sheet.
A single-screw extruder can only produce a single-layer formed sheet. In terms of the final product color, a single-screw degradable food container extruder can only produce solid-color products, such as pure white or pure black.
A twin-screw extruder can be used to extrude 2-3 layers of formed sheet. In terms of the final product color, a twin-screw container extruder can produce dual-color products, such as an outer layer of yellow and an inner layer of white.
A triple-screw extruder can extrude four layers of formed sheet. In terms of color, similar to products formed by a twin-screw extruder, it can also produce dual-color products. However, the triple-screw extruder can composite transparent PP film on both the inner and outer sides of the food container.

The varying number of screws in the extruder significantly influences the control of production costs. More screws make it easier to control the thickness of the product.
